Disco znana także pod nazwą muzyka dyskotekowa – gatunek muzyki popularnej, głównie, choć nie wyłącznie, przeznaczony do tańca w tzw. dyskotekach. Szczególnie popularny w drugiej połowie lat siedemdziesiątych XX wieku. Początkowo albumy disco produkowane były wyłącznie dla użytku DJów. Wkrótce też, około połowy lat siedemdziesiątych tak zmodyfikowana muzyka disco stała się dominującym stylem w muzyce pop.
