Disco znana także pod nazwą muzyka dyskotekowa – gatunek muzyki popularnej, głównie, choć nie wyłącznie, przeznaczony do tańca w tzw. dyskotekach. Szczególnie popularny w drugiej połowie lat siedemdziesiątych XX wieku. Początkowo albumy disco produkowane były wyłącznie dla użytku DJów.
